'Flora And Ulysses' Disney+ Film Introduces An Unlikely Hero - Movies

Watch this adorable trailer about an unlikely hero from the Disney+ film ‘Flora and Ulysses.’

“The film is based on the Newbery Award-winning book about 10-year-old Flora, an avid comic book fan and a self-avowed cynic, whose parents have recently separated,” reads the caption of this YouTube video. “After rescuing a squirrel she names Ulysses, Flora is amazed to discover he possesses unique superhero powers, which take them on an adventure of humorous complications that ultimately change Flora's life--and her outlook--forever.”

At the beginning of the trailer, Flora is reading a comic book in her bed when a voiceover begins to play. “Superheroes stand watch when danger closes in and save those in need,” she says. “But they never show up in the real world. Until Ulysses!”

The voiceover continues: “Every superhero comes to us with a purpose. We don’t always see it at first, because we don’t always know where to look.”

That’s when a squirrel shows up on the screen, which is not the typical superhero that one usually thinks of at first. But through the rest of the trailer, we are shown Flora and Ulysses having fun together and bonding while getting into adventures around their community.

At the end of the trailer, these words flash across the screen: “Witness the tail of an unexpected hero.” A squirrel named Ulysses sure seems like an unexpected protagonist! But what a fun and adventurous looking children’s movie! And it looks like something that both kids and adults will enjoy!

“This book was my childhood, can't wait to see it on screen!” comments one person on YouTube after watching the trailer.

“Love all these movies based on books that I read in school,” writes another person online.
