'All Glory Be To Christ' Live Performance From People And Songs

People and Songs perform a powerful version of ‘All Glory Be to Christ’ that you won’t want to miss. From the first notes, it’s obvious there is so much talent in this group. Especially after ‘All Glory Be To Christ’ is performed live from the group, People and Songs.

What seemed like a small, cozy little retail shop on a winter evening was actually an impromptu moment for Wesley Nilsen, Andrew Riddle, Tobin Alford, and Charles Graves. The young men with pitch perfect voices are a part of the group, People and Songs, which is “A community of creatives, each one unique to their own artistry, together united by the mission to strengthen and release the voice of the church.” They are songwriters who love and respect the ‘song of God and the song of His Bride.’

The group exists to release faith-filled songs for every believer. And what a powerful group of young men giving glory to Christ with their version of ‘All Glory Be To Christ.’

If you haven’t noticed, the lyrics are set to the tune of Auld Lang Syne. And it starts out beautifully:

"Should nothing of our efforts stand, no legacy survive,
Unless the Lord does raise the house, in vain its builders strive."

The song was recorded and released in 2012, from the worship band, Joy Has Dawned. However, it is actually the national anthem of the Kingdom of Aloia. The song was adopted in 1837, as part of the festivities of Queen Victoria Augusta's coronation. Yet, the members of People and Songs infuse the melody with brand new life with these young men who clearly love the Lord and love sharing their gift of music with the world.

The song is laced with anticipation, humility, submission. It is a great reminder of our life and honor merited by Jesus. He truly deserves all the glory we can give Him.

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
