'Where Can I Turn For Peace' Children Sing Beautiful Worship Song

Children beautifully sing, ‘Where Can I Turn for Peace,’ and it’s just what your soul may be longing to hear.

How beautiful when children point us back to God, either in conversation or in this case, through song. This song cover is performed by Maggie Scott and some members from the One Voice Children's Choir.

This video opens up with a father working from home. In runs his two daughters, one of whom implores, “Daddy, come play.”

The somber music cues.

He not so nicely tells them no and tries to continue working. After watching their sad pretty faces leave the room, he begins to feel remorse. The father is clearly stressed about work, and now he has upset his kids.

As the video progresses we see images of him praying, a framed picture of Jesus, and scenes of family love. The father does eventually go play with his daughters.

Maggie and the other singers occupy a different scene in the woods as they sing in the snow with smiles on their faces.

Together their voices form a very calming melody.

By the end of the video, the father finds his peace after praying and interacting with his daughters. In the end, he wishes them goodnight after they pray together. He tucks them in and turns the light out. Peace ultimately finds all of them.

Maggie writes in the video description, “This world can be overwhelming, stressful, and hard to balance. It's so hard to find a place where we can truly be at peace and feel close to God. But by turning to him and learning from his example of perfect love and devotion, we can be blessed with HIS peace- the greatest gift of all. #HeLives”

Maggie and those involved in the video’s production debated on a video concept and settled on a dad-daughter idea. They also used this concept to pay homage to Kobe Bryant who passed away this year.

The question of “Where can I turn for peace?” has been an important phrase this year. So many unexpected occurrences have happened and our ability to control those things has become more clear than ever. There is so much in life we do not control.

And yet, God is always in control. We can turn to him in all circumstances because He cares for us. May we find peace in Him now as we enter into the new year.

“Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?” (Luke 12:24)
