For decades, TobyMac has been sharing the word of God through his unique style of worship music. He started as member of the popular group, DC Talk, before embarking on a successful solo career. Today, he’s sharing a very personal song inspired by recent events all around the globe. The idea of ‘I’m Sorry (a lament)’ came to TobyMac when he was on a trip to Israel with his wife.

While at the Arbel Cliffs, his tour guide started to recite the famed sermon on the mount. “The words of Jesus from Matthew 5, 6 and 7 struck me as if I had never read them before. I realized just how far we have strayed from what Jesus is asking of us. This (song) is simply my response, not judgment. I am deeply sorry for how far we have fallen short. And Godly sorrow leads to repentance.”
