Grieving Mother Does Not Want To Leave Dying Infant Monkey

This mother is grieving the loss of her infant monkey and the scene is absolutely heartbreaking. This is just another visual piece of proof that animals have feelings too. In the video, we see a mother langur clutching to the lifeless body of her newborn baby.

Photographer Archna Singh captured the gut-wrenching moment at Ranthambhore National Park, Rajasthan, India. The area was in the middle of a heat wave, which may have been the cause of the baby monkey’s death. The baby is believed to be about 2 days old and throughout the video you can see the mother trying her best to revive the infant.

For anyone who has lost a loved one, we can understand the pain and anguish that this mother must be going through right now. It’s never easy to say goodbye, especially to your own child. While scenes like this happen frequently in nature, it’s rare to see it captured on camera.

This shows us there is living proof that God’s creatures big, small, and even furry, can feel. God truly placed animals on this Earth for a reason and their compassion and emotions always leave me in awe. What thought and detail He put into everything from land to sea.

Genesis 1:21 “So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.”
