Kaoma Chende Sings All Four Parts Of 'Are You Washed In The Blood' - Staff Picks

Kaoma Chende grew up in Zambia singing traditional hymns in harmony with his friends. But when his friends had moved away, it was time to come up with a new plan to continue enjoying those gospels! Kaoma turned to Youtube where he saw someone else singing all the parts and realized that might be his solution.

"My range is such that I can do all parts," he said, though he may have to tweak a line or change the key a bit to accommodate the bass line. "I thank God I am able to do all of the parts," Chende shared with Kalamazoo News.

Standing in four different locations during filming, Chende is able to create the illusion of four different men singing the different parts. But those stunning sounds are all one man!

More than singing, Kaoma loves God and hopes that his music will touch someone’s life.

“I realize these videos are a blessing to someone out there. I realize I can share my love for my God through them. And my prayer is always that someone gets a blessing through them and that someone gets drawn closer to God. I pray that unworthy as I am, God by his grace can still use me as his instrument to share his love and the message of hope to many, myself included.”
