'Without Him' - Mike And Mark Lowry

Mark Lowry is a celebrated Christian singer and comedian. This talented man has performed with the Gaither Vocal Band and even co-wrote the famous modern Christmas song ‘Mary, Did You Know?’

Today, Mark is hanging out with his brother, Mike, and they decided to worship the Lord. Listen as the brothers sing out the powerful words to the classic hymn ‘Without Him’ with just their voices and a guitar.

‘Without Him I could do nothing
Without Him I'd surely fail
Without Him I would be drifting
Like a ship without a sail’

This special hymn was written by Mylon R. LeFevre. In fact, this was the very first song that LeFevre wrote when he was just 17 years old. In 1963, Elvis Presley recorded the song and, after that, the hymn exploded in popularity. Over the years, hundreds of artists have performed this tune and the special words still ring true today.

‘Jesus, oh Jesus
Do you know Him today
Do not turn Him away
Oh Jesus, oh Jesus
Without Him how lost I would be’

Without the Lord by our side, we would truly be lost. He is the strength that picks us up and the light that is always there to guide us home. When we walk with God, there is nothing we cannot face. This hymn is the perfect reminder of His never-ending love and grace. What a beautiful way to sing of His praises and worship His name. Who else is going to listen to this one again?

But the soul-satisfying truth is that God wants to see us whole. He is a God who heals, comforts, and restores our brokenness.
