12-year-old golden retriever Cash has been pretty lonely lately. About 3 years ago, his best friend Rosie, owner Marie Ahonen's other dog, suddenly passed away.

Cash definitely felt the loss of his furry companion, but he continued to show all sorts of love and happiness towards his family. This year, they decided to add a new addition to their family and Marie wanted to surprise Cash in a very special way. Just watch as this sweet dog walks right over to the wrapped box in the middle of the floor. Cash starts sniffing the box and that's when he really starts to get excited. And when the lid comes off and Cash sees a brand new puppy companion, you can feel the joy in his heart. I just love how he lays down right in front of the puppy. I can already tell that these two are going to be great friends.
