Hindrances to Prayer, Part 41 (The Prayer Motivator Devotional #452)

SCRIPTURE: Matthew 6:5, "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."

PERSONAL ENCOURAGEMENT: God is not going to make you pray, but you ought to pray. God does not make you pray. But if you want to see souls saved in your ministry, if you want to see revival, if you want to see God bless your family and your children, if you want to see all of your needs met, then it is best for you to pray, it behooves you to pray—you ought to pray.

QUOTE: The Kneeling Christian, "Do we realize that there is nothing the devil dreads so much as prayer? His great concern is to keep us from praying. He loves to see us “up to our eyes” in work – provided we do not pray. He does not fear because we are eager and earnest Bible students – provided we are little in prayer."
