Shadowlands

Lyrics:
The final king of Narnia,
Back against a wall,
Captured by the enemy,
Raise a desperate call:

How can this be happening?
How can this be true?
Narnia is dying,
And Aslan, is this you?

The noblest beast, a Unicorn,
Tied behind a shed,
Tired and defeated,
Pleading, raised his head.

How can this be happening?
How can this be true?
Narnia is helpless,
And Aslan, we need you.

(The light is dawning, the lie broken.)

A tiny, desperate army
Outside a stable door,
No chance, no hope, and sure to die,
Raise the cry once more:

How can this be happening?
How can this be true?
Narnia is over,
And Aslan, where are you?

I'm here, I've been here all the time,
I've been in charge of things;
Just come into My kingdom
And I will give you wings.

I gave you what was best for you.
Though then it made you cry,
I had a better plan for you.
Kiss Shadowlands goodbye,
Kiss Shadowlands goodbye,
Kiss Shadowlands goodbye!

This is a song I wrote for the 2014 reading challenge on The Lion's Call. It's based off of "The Last Battle" by C.S. Lewis.
I did all the singing (just rerecorded myself on top of myself... :-P ) and all the instrumental stuff.
The pictures are from a lot of different places. They're pretty much the only pictures I could find from "The Last Battle" anywhere.
