Sermon: "Kingdom Law," Rev. R. Scott MacLaren, First Presbyterian Church, Perkasie, PA 9/02/12
The New York Times, ever in the vanguard of political correctness and multi-culturalism, recently told the story of events in France and Vietnam where the clash of values was on display. Does freedom of religion trump national security? Does social justice and wealth redistribution achieve a more just society? Pastor MacLaren shows from Deuteronomy 4 that the Law of God given to Israel through Moses would set her apart from the rest of the nations for the just nature of her laws. What can we learn from those laws today? This sermon was preached at First Presbyterian Church in Perkasie, PA on September 2, 2012 (Labor Day Weekend). The Rev. R. Scott MacLaren is the pastor.
