God is No Respecter of Persons

Whether rich or poor, black or white, fat or skinny, God is no respecter of persons. This means that God does not show partiality because of what we have, the color of our skin, or the size of our stature. God created us perfectly in His image. Therefore, when we disrespect others, partiality sets in, becoming a sin against God.

The way we treat others should reflect God’s image of love. We can sin against God or be a reflection of Him by respecting others regardless of their status or outward appearance.

Why should you show respect to all people?
• God said for us to love one another with brotherly love.
• God said love your neighbor as you love yourself.
• God said to do unto others as you would have them to do unto you.

The Bible says, " But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors,” (James 2:9).
