Breaking Prophecy News; The Rapture Phase, Part 1 (The Prophet Daniel's Report #365)
PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: The Rapture Phase (Part 1) from Dr. Tim LaHaye
Our Lord referred directly to the rapture only once. All His other teachings on His return have to do with the second phase, or the literal, physical return when He will set up His kingdom, for which the Jews (to whom He spoke) were looking. However, the day before Jesus died on the cross He prepared His disciples to function during His absence (the church age) and addressed them with these words, which provide the Bible's first detailed reference to the rapture:
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
