Today's Devotional
A Prayer to Put on the Armor of God - Your Daily Prayer - April 20, 2018We may forget at times but one thing is true - this world is a battlefield.
That's the America I Love by Jeanne Dukes

A tribute to those who have fought for our freedom, and to all who still believe in America.
vs. 1
Red, white, starry blue,
I stand and honor you--
For all who fell,
For all who still
Live and die for you.
Loyalty and love,
And thanks to God above
That you still fly,
And it's worth the fight,
Knowing freedom isn't free.
chorus
That's the America I love,
Where the brave can still be proud;
Defending hope,
And keeping home
Safe and strong and free.
Still a place to believe
God and country aren't at war,
Where peace and faith
Together reign,
That's the America I love.
vs. 2
This land our fathers knew
Was birthed in wisdom's truth--
Declaring dreams
Of liberty
Precious blood would have to prove.
Forged with quill and ink,
They sealed our destiny,
And prayed we might
Count it worth the fight,
Knowing freedom isn't free.
chorus

Where the brave can still be proud;
Defending hope,
And keeping home
Safe and strong and free.
Still a place to still believe
God and country aren't at war,
Where peace and faith
Together reign,
That's the America I love.
That's the America I love.
That's the America I love.
