Ellie Holcomb Debuts 'As Sure As The Sun' Today To Much Acclaim; No. 15 on iTunes Overall Album Chart, No. 1 Christian Chart

This is the day that Ellie Holcomb has been waiting for for quite some time. Today, the singer, songwriter and storyteller releases her debut album, As Sure As The Sun (Full Heart Music) for the world to hear.

Produced by Brown Bannister and Ben Shive, Holcomb’s anticipated first solo LP is already making headlines as, at press time, it is climbing up the iTunes Overall Album Chart and currently at No. 15, while it holds at No. 1 on the Christian Chart. The album is also receiving high acclaim and being touted as a “must-have” album in everyone’s music library. Along with a cover story in Southern Exposure Magazine (with her husband, Drew Holcomb) and recent interviews with such outlets as OneOne7 TV (click here to watch the interview), CCM Magazine and New York Minute Magazine to promote her solo album, Ellie Holcomb is surely winning the hearts and ears of everyone who hears her music.

According to JesusFreakHideout.com, “There's a lot to love about her unapologetically faith-filled and charmingly quirky folk-pop sound. Holcomb’s writing finds its roots firmly in Scripture…and [her] songs have a way of gently sneaking into your heart. As Sure as the Sun blends the best of the indie songwriter style with timeless truth.” The site also named Holcomb's release the Staff’s Top Pick of the Week.

Holcomb's first radio single, “The Broken Beautiful,“ contines to be added to stations across the country and is currently No. 3 New & Active on the National Audience chart. Early champions at Christian radio include SiriusXM's The Message as well as KFIS/Portland, WBVM/Tampa, WBFJ/Winston-Salem, and Shine.FM in Chicago and Indianapolis.

As Sure As The Sun is the follow up to her two EP’s With You Now and Magnolia and features eleven songs written by Holcomb, each carefully woven with scripture into the lyrics. Encouraged by her husband to record her own music, Holcomb's hope with her new collection of songs is that they will be reminders of truth by refreshing, encouraging, and blessing all who hear them.

HOLCOMB & KICKSTARTER
Setting out in November with a Kickstarter campaign to garner support for the making of her album, Holcomb set a goal of $40,000 to be raised in 50 days. That goal was met in just three short days and Holcomb ended up raising over $108,000 with 1,756 backers. This highly successful Kickstarter campaign placed her 4th overall top Christian Kickstarter Campaign as well as placing in the Top 30 Most Funded Kickstarter Music campaigns of all time.
