"Heart for Kenya’ was established in Eldoret Kenya by Southland International Christian Centre (Australia) in conjunction with Eldoret International Christian Centre (Kenya), to make a significant impact on many peoples lives. Rather than just address the primary needs such as food and shelter, we also aim to provide skills training, education scholarships and small business initiative funding to create an environment of hope where people stuck in the cruel cycle of poverty can find a sustainable way out to a future where they can provide for themselves and their families.
Working with a network of local Kenyan authorities, businesses, Rotary and a variety of existing organisations, we aim to provide a sustainable model for future aid and growth in this region.
A major focus of the work of Heart for Kenya is the establishment of the ‘Eldoret Childrens Village’. A unique centre where orphans, street kids and children of aids sufferers who can no longer look after them, will find a new loving home…not just a big orphanage. A place where they will have a future.
