Baptized By Pastor Jordan

The Jordan River flows from four streams that appear along the slopes of Mt. Hermon, each a result of the melting snowfalls from the peaks above. From its sources in the North to the river's end at the dead sea their is 65 miles but from overhead it looks like a snake, winding and curving, stretching the short distance to more than 160 miles.
Yardenit: This place is commonly believed to be where Jesus was baptized by John.
The Yardenit Baptismal Centre was built by members of the nearby Kinneret kibbutz to receive the great numbers of pilgrims that go to the place; in these waters the Greek Orthodox and Catholic faithful symbolically renew their baptism.

The Monastery of St. Jerasimos is maintained by the Orthodox Church, as is the steep bank behind it which marks the traditional area for the ministry of John the Baptist. This monastery is one of twenty founded in the Judean Wilderness during the Byzantine period.
What does holy spirit mean?

I believe that I cannot by my own understanding or effort believe in Jesus Christ my Lord, or come to him. But the Holy Spirit has called me through the Gospel, enlightened me with his gifts, and sanctified and kept me in true faith.

In the same way he calls, gathers, enlightens, and sanctifies the whole Christian church on earth, and keeps it united with Jesus Christ in the one true faith.

In this Christian church day after day he fully forgives my sins and the sins of all believers. On the last day he will raise me and all the dead and give me and all believers in Christ eternal life.

A Prayer for Confidence When Uncertainty, Insecurity, or Timidity Hits - Your Daily Prayer - July 3

Just as we would never give a friend something and take it right back, out of their hands – let’s not do that with God either. When we trust God, we leave it in His hands. We believe. We feel steady, not sick.
