SILENT RAGE: The HUGH HACKNEY Testimony: Part 2 of 3

Hugh Hackney began drinking at the age of 12. He disliked school and joined the Marines at age 17. While in the Marines, he got into fight after fight, having over 40 of them in boot camp alone. His violent temper exploded at the least little thing. When marriage came along and children, he constantly drank, and often times he would lose his temper and lash out at his family in anger. Once out of the military, his routine was work, the bar, hunting and fishing, watching TV. He had little interest in spiritual things, and was not even convinced there was a God. Through the death of a close friend and being torn up about it, he began to question the reality of God unlike ever before. However, his alcoholism grew worse and his anger grew more intense. Finally, his wife could not take it any longer, and she left him. A time came when the hole inside him could no longer be filled with work, drinking, womanizing, hunting and fishing, and that was when a series of things happened that motivated him to think more and more about spiritual truth and eternity. A time is coming where every person WILL care about their sinful acts of the past. The Bible is very clear that we ALL will one day give an account to God for our past actions, and Judgment Day is coming. When it comes YOUR time to give an account to God, what will be YOUR answer when He asks you about the death of His Son Jesus Christ on the cross? Will you just shrug your shoulders and answer: Huhh, I do not know. Or will a smile come upon your face and you cannot wait to say: I a
