How to survive in the Wilderness
For some it has become a common belief that Jesus endured only three trials during his time in the wilderness. But through the writing of Luke we see that there were multiple trials but only three were highlighted. Maybe he surmised that these three trials stood for the three main temptations of the enemy. The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. Either way Luke was the only one to write about these temptations in such an explicit manner.
Now here are three things that the saints need to know when they are entering their wilderness:
1) To survive the wilderness it will cost you something.
2) To survive in the wilderness you must take a backseat to the Spirit.
3) To survive in the wilderness you must know that the trial is about spiritual maturity.
