Barna reasearch group has raised some questions in their latest book. "7 Faith Tribes" In the study and research for the book they came up with these statistics. (These 7 groups are reshaping America) Muslims only make up 1/2 of 1% of adults in America, Mormons 2%, Pantheists 2%, Skeptics make up 11%, the Captive Christian 16% and topping the list are the Casual Christians at an alarming 66%.
Captive Christians are defined by their faith; their worldview is built around their core spiritual beliefs and resultant values.
Casual Christians are defined by the desire to please God, family, and other people while extracting as much enjoyment and comfort from the world as possible.
