Bombay Teen Challenge
Bombay Teen Challenge (BTC) purpose is to extend help and provide hope to the destitute of Mumbai.
Its founder-leader, Mr. Devaraj, has a passion for the hopeless and helpless women and children living on the streets and in the brothels of Mumbai's red-light district. He and his team have been able to rescue hundreds of men and women from drug and alcohol abuse and sex-trafficking, and restored their broken lives, both spiritually and physically. Their rehabilitation program has a very high rate of success. Many of those whose lives have been restored are now serving on staff at BTC. The organization has also rescued and provided a safe, nurturing and healthy home environment to numerous children of commercial sex workers, street children addicted to drugs and alcohol, AIDS orphans and beggar children.
The impact of BTC on those who once were without hope and meaning in life is beyond measure. Because of its effectiveness and fruitfulness BTC has earned the esteem and respect in the area.
