Welcome to worship at Cold Springs Church on this first Sunday in December. Though there are times that the Church and culture are in conflict in their message, today their message is one: it’s time to get ready for Christmas. This morning, we turn our attention to the gospel of Mark. Though Mark 1 says nothing about the character we usually hear about in the story of the birth of Jesus, these words have plenty to say about getting ready for Christmas and the coming of Christ. Take some quiet time before worship begins to utter a silent prayer for yourself, our worship leaders, and those around you that God’s name might be glorified in this time of worship.
