Jesus Christ calls his followers to take a sword and fight.And if you don't have money for a sword, go sell your cloak and buy yourself a sword.
As a believer, I don't think he literally meant for Christians to get a steel sword, but a spiritual one, the word of God. By this, further I believe He is calling us out as soldiers to fight with the word of God inside our hearts and sharing it with a lost and dying world.
Calling us out to be proclaimers & followers of Christian love and peace, warfare against our enemy, satan! The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God!
