The Lion of our Righteousness

Jesus is the Lamb of God but also the lion of the tribe of Judah. He is the lion of our righteousness, the strength of our faith. By this title we go from smallness to greatness. Even though we are as the sand of the sea in our smallness, yet we are marked and called out to be sons of God in greatness. Jesus went from a suffering Lamb to a reigning lion. As Paul taught: If we suffer with Him now then we will also reign with Him.
Jesus is now calling out a people to Himself. For just as Joshua brought the children of Israel through the Jordon River to beget a whole new nation so also Jesus is begetting a whole new people unto Himself through the womb of His covenant.
