China's Divine Vessel 7, Shenzhou VII

A Long March carrier rocket carrying China's Shenzhou VII spacecraft ignites during launch at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China's Gansu province at 21:10 on Thursday, September 25, 2008.


The astronauts will orbit the Earth for three days, 68 hours, to be precise, and one of them will walk in space about 343 km above the Earth on Saturday.

Astronaut Zhai Zhigang became the first Chinese man to walk in space on Saturday, clambering out of China's Shenzhou VII space craft in a technological feat that made the Chinese people excited.
