Seeking God No Matter What - Part 2
In this sermon, the first in a series of three, we begin to look at the Book of Job from a different perspective. This story is not about "why bad things happen to good people"; rather, it is about the nature of our faith and our relationship with God no matter what life throws at us. Job explodes the traditonal "divine retribution" theology that teaches how God reqards the faithful and punishes the wicked. Job shows us a world where God meets us in the midst of pain, suffering, and grief. God is present to see us through the trial, not to keep us free from trial. Job shows us a God who hangs on our cross with us and whispers, "I love you, no matter what."

A Prayer for Safe Travels - Your Daily Prayer - April 17
God knows all things. He knows our fears. He knows our doubts and the mind-numbing reel of thoughts that continue on a loop as we stand in line at security. The Bible promises that with Jesus, we can fight against fear and put our trust in Him.
