To Tell the Truth
This is the first in a series of sermons called "Games People Play." In this installment we harken back to the 1960's game show To Tell the Truth and talk about how there will always be imposters trying to steer us toward false gods and hollow promises. John's gospel story about the Doubting Thomas gives us something to think about in terms of our willingness to be present to encounter the Living God. Whether we like it or not; whether we acknowledge it or not, the Bible is clear - there is indeed absolute truth in Jesus Christ. We really only have two choices: follow Jesus to eternal life in God's presence or follow any other path and spend eternity separated from God in the presence of evil. You choose!
