Laurie Lewis - Haven Of Mercy
Laurie wrote this song in 1985, thinking of a dear friend of hers who had gone through a difficult divorce from his wife. So originally the song had that perspective. Then in 1999 the song was re-dedicated to a wonderful bluegrass musician named Charles Sawtelle, who passed away from leukemia. I created this version from the perspective of two of my cousins, who lost their dear sister to cancer earlier this year. My cousin Karen is a bird lover, and she picked out the bird pictures for this video. Thank you Laurie for a beautiful song.
