Sermon: "Can We Believe in the Resurrection?" by Rev. Richard Scott MacLaren
The gospels give us an account of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. They intend to be understood as historically accurate accounts by reliable witnesses. But are they really true? Can it be that after being dead for three days, Jesus came back to life and appeared to many of his disciples? Even some of his original disciples doubted such a thing. But, while we might wonder at this, we should not be surprised when we know something of the character of Jesus. Watch as Pastor MacLaren shows why you can believe in the resurrection, and why it is necessary for your spiritual life. This sermon was preached at First Presbyterian Church in Perkasie, PA (www.firstchurchopc.org), an Orthodox Presbyterian Church (www.opc.org), on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010. Rev. Richarde Scott MacLaren is the pastor.

A Prayer of Comfort for Families Missing Their Fallen Military Heroes - Your Daily Prayer - May 27
Because the general public views them as fallen heroes deserving of patriotic honor, many may mistakenly think that this somehow helps to soften the blow of the loss to their family members. But for many families, it can be extremely difficult to accept and process, especially because their passing is without warning, unexpected, and with no opportunity to say goodbye.
