President Obama Assures Israel that Using Force is an Option on Iran. According to The Associated Press, President Barack Obama says he doesn't want war but insists he would attack Iran if that was the only option left to stop that nation from getting a nuclear weapon. Obama also said in his address to AIPAC that "Loose talk of war" only plays into Iran's hands. Today, he will try to persuade Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to slow down the quickening pressure to attack Iran's disputed nuclear development sites. Obama is trying to avert an Israeli strike that could come this spring, and which the United States sees as dangerously premature.

Hezbollah leader calls on Muslims and Christians to 'liberate' Jerusalem. According to the Jerusalem Post, Hezbollah Secretary-General Has-san Nas-rall-ah said on Monday that Israeli-Palestinian negotiations were doomed to fail, and called on Muslims and Christians to take Jerusalem from Israel. He said, "Every Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, and Christian has a national, popular, and ethical responsibility towards Al-Quds [al-Kudz] (Jerusalem). It demands seriousness and action from all of us." He went on to say that Israeli settlers were "Judaizing" and "desecrating" Jerusalem.
