Hezbollah says Iran could strike U.S. bases in the Middle East. According to Reuters, the leader of Lebanon's Iranian-backed militant group Hezbollah said that Iran could hit U.S. bases in the Middle East in response to any Israeli strike on its nuclear facilities even if American forces played no role in the attack. Hassan Nasrallah said the military response "will not just be inside Israel --American bases in the whole region could be Iranian targets. If Israel targets Iran, America bears responsibility."

Volcanic activity is increasing in western Indonesia. According to Xinhua (ZHIN-WAH) News Agency, the activities of volcanoes in western Indonesia is escalating, with one of them, A-nak Kra-ka-tau, covering the city of Bandar Lampung in volcanic ash. Weather officials said that the volcano was emitting toxic gases which could prove fatal to humans.

A Christian has been killed by Hindu extremists in India. According to Ground Report, Indian Hindu nationalists attacked a prayer meeting in Tamil Nadu and killed one Christian and injured others. The Christian aid group, Release International says that Edwin Raj died after Hindu nationalists launched an apparently well-planned attack on a private home. After being brutally beaten, he died from his injuries on the way to the hospital...
