Born in the small Central American country of El Salvador, Saul grew up in an old beloved town tucked away in between the corn hills and the coffee mountains of a placed called Sensuntepeque. There, he played as a child, dreamed impossible dreams, hoped for a better future, faced unimagineable challenges, and where his character was formed. After becoming an orphan at age 7, Saul was cared for by his grandparents, and when he was 9 years of age, Brother Sauls grandfather Miguel, had prophesied over him that one day in a foreign land, Saul would be called of God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Later at the age of 14, Saul became a young man fighting for socio-political reforms during El Salvadors civil war by joining the student revolutionary movement opposing his countrys military dictatorship.
