Hello everyone, so heres a little bit about myself. I grew up in the epitome of a small town. I went to a small school and lived on one of those streets where everyone knew everyone and everything about you. I was always the odd kid. I started singing opera at age 9...that wasnt exactly the trend in the 90's. But I had big plans and big dreams. At 15,I left for Interlochen Arts Academy where I submerged myself in my studies of opera, jazz and dance. During my senior year I realized that opera was not my direction. I felt that I had too much to say to the world about my faith and about my God, my creator and I felt that christian music was where my heart thrived. After my first semester of college I did an internship at BayPointe Community Church where I was the youth music director and most of my education came from that experience. The practice in performing and leading worship was priceless. I relocated to Miami, FL soon after my time at Baypointe was over and I tried other things for a while, secular r&b, some pop, a little hip hop. But my voice only seemed to be right when i was singing about thruth. In July of 2008 I sang, danced, and modeled at the International Performing Arts Conference. From there i signed with several agencies and a management team. I met wonderful people who are very positive influences in my life and are still currently holding my hand. I moved to Los Angeles the same week and have gotten several opportunites in the industry since then but my singing carreer is still an uphill climb. But I am trusting God with every fiber in my body that He will provide and that He will open the right doors and close the ones I should not walk through. I know that I am called to serve Him with the gifts He has given me and no matter how the enemy tries to stop me yet will I praise him.."though none go with me yet will I follow, no turning back, no turning back..."
A Prayer for a Courageous Soul - Your Daily Prayer - April 26
We have been given a remarkable gift through God and His redemption story. Not only have we received eternal life with our Creator, but we have received courage in Christ that will change the trajectory of our lives and the lives of those around us forever.
