The Lord was reminding me the other day when I heard about a 5 year old little girl and her mother that made the news not too long ago and I felt impressed of the Lord to write this. The little girl was walking with her mother when a robber attacked them at gunpoint. The robber was about to shoot the mother when the little girl jumped in front of the mother and took her bullet. I believe the little girl ended up in the hospital in critical condition and I'm not sure whether she lived or not. I do remember praying for the little girl. But as I thought about the courage and how brave the little girl was to do such a thing it dawned on me that it wasn't about courage or bravery. It was about her love for her mother. She loved her mother with a perfect love and we know by reading scripture that perfect love casts out all fear. This little girl loved her mother with such a love that she was not afraid of taking that bullet and dying. I believe the little girl didn't even think about doing it it just came naturally and extinctly. Such is the love that Jesus loves us with and lavishes us with day in and day out. As the Word of God says, "There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends".

She has laid sleeping for what has seemed to be an eternity. Sleeping in a deepened state dreaming of her true love and what it would be like to finally be united with Him forever. As she awakens she rubs her eyes with her hands in order to clearly see the day that lies before her. As she looks into the mirror and sees her reflection she realizes that she is not the same woman who fell asleep earlier but in some way has changed. She notices that her eyes have turned a different shade of the same color and somehow senses that she can see through things that seem false or unreal and by this she will be able to truly know the deep love that her Groom holds for her. She notices that her skin has somehow taken on a new texture. It is soft to the touch and sensitive to the slightest change in the atmosphere around her. She realizes that when her Groom holds her she will be able to feel Him in a way that she has never experienced before. She will feel closer to Him as He holds her close to His heart. Her heart begins to pulse rapidly as she remembers the dreams that she dreamt while sleeping. She remembers that the One she loves will soon be her husband and they will become one flesh. She no longer remembers the days of her youth and the failures that she encountered as they are surpassed by the realization and excitement of her destiny.
