"Seeing Is Believeing"
I am living proof of the grace of God. I lived the majority of my life in a drug and alcohol induced haze. Treating people in general like pawns to get what I needed out of life. Three years ag after repeated arrests and near death experiences a thought came to me. That little voice in my head (the Holy Spirit) broke through the fog and told me that there was so much more to life than what I was doing, either straighten up or die. Well wht more could there be, life was one big party. I had the best of both worlds. A good job, a wife and family, endless drugs, alcohol, women, life was good, Wasn't it? From that day forward, I never got the pleasere out of 3 and 4 day runs like I used to. What changed? Three years ago I truly did a 180 and gave my life to Christ and started working to give others the peace that I have found. 1 1/2 years ago, I became a pastor at a church outside of Waco, TX. It's not much of "A Job". I still have to work for a living, but all the extra time and effort is sooo worth it. Letters to people in jail, visits to homless shelters, bringing children to know their Lord and Savior, you can't get a greater "high" than that. Maybe just one of them that I meet won't have to go through the same things that I went through.
(God Willing) So if you ever wonder if there is a God and if Jesus really forgives, take it from me, HE LIVES, HE SAVES, HE FORGIVES, HE LOVES YOU!!!
