American Idol Contestants Sing Tearful Rendition Of ‘God Bless The USA’

A group of American Idol contestants took to the stage and gave a stirring rendition of a beloved and patriotic song, Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless The USA.”

Partisan politics, social media and 24-hour cable news sources have turned many people into experienced, incessant complainers and whiners. If their politician of choice doesn’t get elected, they constantly scream into their echo chambers about how the country is done for and headed for unmitigated disaster.

A clip posted on YouTube reminds listeners that despite what some pundits on TV or social media may say, The United States of America is still the land of opportunity. It’s still the place where people have the freedom to live their lives as they see fit. Clay Aiken, Ruben Studdard and several others express these thoughts and ideas as they sing “God Bless the USA.”

The song’s opening verses mention that if they had lost everything they’d worked for, they would still be grateful to be an American. America is a country where one either fails or succeeds on their own accord. They, for the most part, have control over their future. Education and Hard work are still the determinants of success for those who live in the United States.

“And I’m proud to be an American
Where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me”

The camera also catches several members of the armed forces taking in and enjoying the emotional performance by the group of gifted musicians. One or two people on stage are even brought to tears, with one woman wiping her eye during the cover.

God is bigger and more powerful than any elected politician or passed referendum. He is still in control despite what some politicians, social media influencers or talking heads on TV may say about the country.

Romans 13:1 “Let everyone put himself under the authority of the higher powers, because there is no power which is not of God, and all powers are ordered by God.”
