The Stand ~ Michael W. Smith
NOW is the only right time to take a stand about living surrendered to Christ no matter what. (young, old, middle-age, happy, sad, good day, bad day, trials, suffering, in the valley, on the heights… doesn't matter!) In the Bible we read that we are to daily pick up our cross, we by other words need to take a stand about following Christ every day, and often many times each day. It will always help remind us that God is the only one worthy, He should always be first in our hearts, and it will also enable and empower us to live more godly lives that reflect Him brighter and brighter for everyone around to see. Thats because we by fixing our eyes on Him will be transformed into a greater likeness of Him that we have our focus on, the One we love and want to honor by living according to His word and thank God, we are granted help to manage that through the Holy Spirit {And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit – 2.cor.3.18} THE STAND: *I.ll stand – with arms high and heart abandoned – in awe of The One who gave it all – I.ll stand – my soul, Lord, to You surrendered – all I am is Yours*
Today's Devotional
A Prayer to Humbly Serve This Maundy Thursday - Your Daily Prayer - March 28
Would you let Jesus wash your feet? Isn't it hard to imagine lifting our dirty toes to the King of Kings? None of us are worthy of his care and attention; yet in Christ's perfect love, he gives us nothing less. Does your human heart struggle like mine to serve others humbly as Jesus did?
