Rich in Good WorksHow can you encourage other believers in Jesus to “be rich in good works”?
Distraction, a powerful tool of deception used by Satan every day... is a means to get us to be so fixated in the "here and now", that our attention on the Word of God, or even with respect to God Himself - is neglected. Do you ever spend 15 minutes or more a day reading the Bible, or time with the Lord in prayer? If the answer is 'no' to any of these questions, chances are you are being distracted. That feeling you feel in the pit of your stomach telling you not to read the Word of God and pray, is actually a ploy of the enemy, and we best be on guard and pray for motivation and guidance from the Holy Spirit in these areas. It is never too late to neglect the TV, or even going out to eat. God should be at the centre of our minds, and His word - the mechanism of Truth by which He allows us to learn and reach others. His coming could be tomorrow or in this very moment for people who die today. Irregardless of which of these is true, the coming of Christ with glory in the clouds is very soon, for us all.
