Thanhin refugee camp - Popular Christian Videos

This is a short movie of a Kareen refugee camp. Four hours west of Bangkok on the Thai side close to the Burma boarder. For those that dont know. The Kareen people are a very very large tribal group that live both in Thailand and Burma. Many kareen live in Thailand and Burma with citizenship. There are many that dont. For them their is great problems in both the burma and thai sides. The uni has set up, i think 11 of these refugee camps. Where those that dont have citizenship can come. In these camps they can get paper work and are sent to different countries like Australia, America, Sweeden, Finland and others. For those that have lived in the jungle, to come in live in a city with a different lanuguage and culture is a lot to ask. Many dont want to leave as i expect you would like to go and spent the rest of your life in there jungle. Some do because of the bad situation they face, but the paper work takes so long to process. I meet people that had been in this camp since it started(12 years). I spent just one day there and it felt like being in a prison camp. There are many lovely christians there. I had a wonderfull day meeting with the different people there. The conditions as you can tell are poor. Please pray for them.
