there's a big misunderstanding among charismatics and pentecostals about the passage, "Glory to Glory and faith to faith".



the way i see it, some people - namely ones who have either been deceived or never truly converted - have interpreted this to go along with their thinking about success. the problem therein lies with the worldly philosophy of greed/self-centeredness. God's kingdom is completely parametric and upside-down compared to the world. Jesus said to truly become better you must humble yourself. this is why the satanic bible called Jesus a weak little wimp who couldn't get down off the cross. but we who have been born not of this world (age - world system) but born again of water and spirit, will see this as foolishness because we can perceive the meanings of the parables and the secrets of God are revealed to us through the Holy Spirit. you have no need that a man should teach you, for the anointing inside of you teaches all things.



another side of the misunderstanding goes with the freaky whack jobs who think being spiritual is all about signs, wonders, out of body experiences, etc. this is new-age witchcraft philosophy. now i do say God is a spirit, and there are some mystical experiences that may be of Him, but we are not to seek these as a way of life. the only thing we should be seeking through prayer and word is the conformity to the image of Christ.



the wheat grows along with the tares, but at the harvest the separation shall take place and by their fruits you shall know them. there are not only wolves in sheepskin, but there's goats in the fold as well
