Apostle John: 1 John 4:6 (MSG) But we come from God and belong to God. Anyone who knows God understands us and listens. The person who has nothing to do with God will, of course, not listen to us. This is another test for telling the Spirit of Truth from the spirit of deception.

Jesus: John 10:4-5 (NET) When (Jesus) he has brought all his own sheep out, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they recognize his voice. They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him, because they do not recognize the strangers voice.

TRUE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS HEAR HIS WORDS AND CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THEM. THOSE WHO DONT LISTEN TO HIS WORDS ARE NOT HIS.

Paul: 2 Corinthians 13:1 (BBE) From the mouth of two or three witnesses will every word be made certain.

Jesus: 18:16 (BBE) that by the lips of two or three witnesses every word may be made certain.

SINCE IT IS TRUE, GODS WORD DOESNT CONFLICT WITH ITSELF. PASSAGES MUST BE STUDIED WITHIN CONTEXT AND CHECKED WITH OTHER PASSAGES TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY.
