Those who hold office in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ are called to be stewards in God's house. They properly enter their office when they have been authorized by the Word of God. Yet today there are many who enter the Christian ministry without such authorization. This shameless self-promotion is deeply offensive to our covenant Lord who is zealous for the honor and purity of his church.
