Psalm 40. Climbing the ladder of faith. With the Lord's blessing, this is 4th in our Psalms readings! Thanks to my sister in Christ, Christa Rosier, for use of her Psalms Paintings: A woman is seen holding on to a ladder, in an attempt to survive. Made of grapevine, the ladder emerges, rooted in mire. In time new vine-shoot strengthens, thickens as it twists towards light. Once in the light the fruit will ripen. The ladder symbolises faith, which grows and strengthens during dark times in our lives. When our reality is pain-filled, we can grow in faith.
