The Goodness in Badness
“Let me tell you a story.†When I say those words, suddenly your ears perk up and you start to listen. Everyone loves a story, and every good story has to have a hero and a villain. In our scripture lesson for today from Luke 18, we hear a story of Jesus about a Pharisee and a tax collector. The Pharisee seems to be mighty good, and the tax collector seems to be mighty bad. Let us see what Jesus has to say about these two men, and the lessons we can draw from their story. Take a few moments as worship begins to say a prayer for yourself that the Holy Spirit will open your heart to hear what God has to say to you in this time of worship today.
