Before The Cross - Zero Crossings

Before The Cross - Zero Crossings

This audio/video presentation is one man's depiction of two experiences: one in a church and the other in a dream.

He entered a Pentecostal church with his wife one Sunday. They sat in a pew toward the back. Before the services commenced, the man began to weep. He felt ashamed and sorrowful. The man repented and asked God to forgive him. He continued to weep as his thoughts turned to the world around him and to those that did not know God. Through his tears he could see the cross at the front of the sanctuary. It was a huge wooden cross. He imagined Christ nailed to it. He never felt so humbled. The tears increased uncontrollably until he was no longer just weeping. The tears flowed from his eyes in a supernatural way. He wondered how so much water could come from his eyes. He couldn't stop the tears. Then he received a powerful revelation. He was not crying alone. God was crying with him and through him for all mankind that did not know God: Hosea 6:6.

This song "Before The Cross" describes this man's experience. After arranging the basic guitar parts and writing the lyrics he asked God how He would like this song to be presented. Shortly afterward, the man had a vision in a dream. He envisioned himself flying over and around a large statue of Christ (at the time, he was unfamiliar with the statue of Christ in Rio de Janeiro). While searching the Internet the man came upon these beautiful photos and realized that this was the statue in his dream.

Have you surrendered yourself to Christ before the cross? Have you given all of yourself to God? Do you have knowledge of Him? How do we acquire knowledge of God? We study His word: 2nd Timothy 2:15.

May God bless you and keep you.

In His Service,

Bill E Atkins
