Catechism: "Jesus Exalted in His Ascension," First Presbyterian Church, Perkasie.
The Bible tells us that after Jesus rose from the grave, he appeared to his disciples for 40 days before ascending into heaven. What is the significance of his ascension? How did it take place? Was it merely metaphorical, a nice story to charm little children with, or did the gospels simply intend to tell us that his soul went to heaven after his death? No, the Bible has something much more significant to tell us in his bodily ascension. Watch as Pastor MacLaren leads a meditation on the 53rd Question of the Larger Catechism of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. This meditation was given during the Sunday Worship Service of First Presbyterian Church in Perkasie, PA (www.firstchurchopc.org).

A Prayer to Humbly Serve This Maundy Thursday - Your Daily Prayer - March 28
Would you let Jesus wash your feet? Isn't it hard to imagine lifting our dirty toes to the King of Kings? None of us are worthy of his care and attention; yet in Christ's perfect love, he gives us nothing less. Does your human heart struggle like mine to serve others humbly as Jesus did?
