2009 Search for the Happiest Pinoy

CLIS values the shift from being an insurance agency that secures and protects, to an insurance solutions provider that seeks to offer peace of mind and foster happiness. This is why concurrent with the re-branding, CLIS is also launching a nationwide campaign to search for and honor the most cheerful and optimistic Filipino who has remarkably exhibited resilience amidst life's challenges.

!@%#led Search for the Happiest Pinoy, the campaign aims to rekindle optimism and hope-values that are intrinsic to Filipinos. Touted to be the first of its kind in the Philippines, this campaign is truly relevant in this time of financial crisis and global economic downturn.

The Search for the happiest Pinoy will run from May 5 to September 15, 2009. Any Filipino of legal age, good moral character and residing in the Philippines may be nominated.

Esteemed individuals make up the board of judges. Among these are Ms. Timmy Cruz, recording artist and 2009 Fr. Neri Satur Awardee for Environmental Heroism; Mr. Jose Miguel G. Jimenez; chief administration officer, P.J. Lhuillier, Inc.; Dr. Victoria Licuanan, dean, Asian Institute of Management; Mr. Antonio Meloto, chairperson, Gawad Kalinga; Ms. Rebecca Ortega, chairperson, Brahma Kumaris; Hon. Grace Padaca, governor of Isabela; Ms. Marixi Prieto, chairperson, Philippine Daily Inquirer; and Dr. Emerlinda Roman, president, University of the Philippines System.

The campaign will culminate in an awarding ceremony in October of the same year, where the winners will be announced. The Happiest Pinoy awardee will receive P200,000 and plaque, and the runners up will get P25,000.00 each with plaque. Nominations may be submitted online by uploading them to or by sending them to the CLIS head office, 821 A. Spring St. corner J.P.Rizal Sts., Makati City.
