In 1955 Dr. Rudolph Flesch published a book that showed why young people are not learning to read. His conclusions shook the educational establishment, but were largely ignored, and fifty years later, Johnny still can't read. Many in churches today are also illiterate when it comes to reading the Bible. The problem is not with the coherence of the Bible or even the quality of their education, but with their own spiritual condition.
