Jesus taught that another Helper (the first Helper was Jesus) would come to be in us. Although we can't see the 2nd Helper (the Holy Spirit), Jesus taught that we can perceive Him by what He does (like the wind). John 14: 22-23 (NKJV) Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. John 16:13 (HCSB) When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak whatever He hears. He will also declare to you what is to come. We CAN progressively KNOW the 2nd Helper (the Holy Spirit) by obeying Christ's directions THROUGH Him. As we follow the Holy Spirit's guidance, we are given more direction; however, if we don't obey, He remains silent in our lives. I John 2:17 (ESV) But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you.
