After he is safely hidden, the criminal stumbles upon the camp of a man who is sleeping. As the criminal attempts to steal the man's food, the man is awakened. Eventually the two sit, share a meal and talk about why the criminal is in his predicament. During their conversation, the criminal reveals his fear of death and in response to this, the man encourages to read in the Bible how Jesus responded to the theif on the cross.
